Lunch at Njarakkal Govt. Hospital for poor patients

 Every Saturday we provide free lunch at Njarakkal Government Hospital for the poor & orphan patients.

 We come across lot of abandoned elderly parents in such hospitals.We provide for them medicines & cloth as well.

 A happy elderly woman walking back to her bed with a plateful of homely & healthy Vegetarian lunch.

 Volunteers who work with us in cooking & supplying of lunch, they do this free of cost, May god bless them and bring more volunteers for us.

 Some patients have chronic diseases, they stay at the hospital for months, we help in  cleaning and bathing them.

 Quite a lot of patients need food and medicine at almost all the Government hospitals across Kerala.

We are hoping to help them with food, medicine, cloth everyday and also we are looking forward to provide shelter for the destitute.

Activities

Years ago, when I started, we were concentrating on Ernakulam General Hospital, which is the abode for the poor in our society, "Isolation Ward" and other wards we used to provide lunch, three days a week.

We bought medicines for those who cannot afford to buy the prescription drugs which were not available at hospital dispensary.

We nursed, we bathed, we took care of destitute s in the isolation ward.

This was the first four years of our service.

During these period I understood, the coastal area of Vypeen and adjacent places have more need for our kind of service, so we  moved to Paravoor & Njarakkal Government Hospitals & adjacent coastal areas. Servicing two hospitals with lunch and medical aid became little too difficult for me, since our financial resources were limited. Due to this money constraint we are unable to reach out to many in these coastal area, who requires us. But we are sure, one way or the other God will strengthen us to reach out to all those require us.
